The YA Client Portal is an internal tool that the clients for YA could use to get more information about their account, locate offers that people have claimed on their promotions, or to simply just check on the google analytics on their websites or offers they had running.
The purpose of the Client Portal was to provide more access to the things that the clients want and ask for when it came to their promotions, analytics, and the consumers who have submitted or claimed an offer. Clients were required to have an account that was created by YA. A specific email address and password were the specific credentials used to gain access to the website.
The Client Portal was a first of its kind for YA. Gathering information in the beginning before designing the webpages and the detailed styles was crucial to execute and to understand what the Product Manager wanted and what YA wanted too. The use of a site map and Jira stories created by a Business Analyst (BA) was important to help figure our what types of pages and information needed. It was my responsibility to interpret those details from the site map and Jira and create a web design that a developer could then create. I utilized my understanding of front-end HTML/CSS and bootstrap techniques/skills to come up with the webpages without using any code. A final detailed style guide was created for the developer/s to use for the creation of the website. The detailed style guide worked out very well and I received a large amount of praise for the work that was put into developing such a robust piece of creative that a developer could reference when creating the website.
Website Creative Liberties:
The website was a fully custom internal tool. The website HTML/CSS was created by developers. As the designer on this project, mock-ups and a detailed referenced style guide were the only things that were created and then handed off to the developer to then create the website.
